      <image:title>About - Writer. Artist. Wanderer.</image:title>
<image:caption>You will always find me exploring back roads in our Sprinter van, meeting new friends, and of course—sharing stories. My fictional work is grounded in the rural communities where I’ve traveled, and the underrepresented voices of the people who live there. EVIE WALTERS TAKES THE WHEEL, my debut women’s fiction novel will be released October 2026. I wrote the novel at rest stops and scenic overlooks, on rainy days at little libraries in towns where the population didn’t exceed 500 and tucked off-the-grid with the warmth of a good campfire. “Travel softens your edges, widens your perspective, and turns judgment into understanding.” Things that might surprise you: I love 55+ Improv classes. I founded a Creative Arts School for kids and adults. I’ll never detach from Ted Lasso (why would I want to?)</image:caption>
